So, chilling this weekend, sorting a few boat jobs (away from the boat tho :( ), then Monday on the boat all day, next weekend a long awaited pootle into the Solent with Zoe to test everything and get the sparkly things even sparklier, then following week, 3 days to get her down to Penzance (or as close as), then back for a few days, then the thick end of 3 weeks bringing her back sllloooowwwllly, 2 and a bit with the family, then a couple of days solo .....

All the jobs will have been done ...... (apart from those that haven't) ............

This weekends weather is but a taster of things to come (with a summer long S3/4 which has been on order for some time now) ............

It has been way way too long since I had a good sail ..........

I will report ............. with pictures.

This is the summer we have all been waiting for ..........

A weekend of fettling, then next weekend family stuff but time to fit the RADAR and new solar panels. Then we are off for six weeks, IOW, CI's and Weymouth. Such fun.

Well, i've assembled the BBQ.... at home....

watching the weather and thinking ****.... it'd be bloody marvellous on the boat today.....

Ditto.
Slept in today.

There's always tomorrow. Not much wind though.
Will be taking my youngest to fit/wire the cockpit speakers.
If there's still time, might be going for a gentle drift with sails up.

Also served notice that this week we'd be taking the boat somewhere.
After my hospital check up on Monday, his time belongs to me.
If we don't go sailing this week, we might as well chuck it in.

The chilling didn't really happen as I couldn't get 2 of the halyards back on. A very very nice chap called Lawrie at Lallows in Cowes helped out with his cherry picker :

Which made me, and Mrs.C rather happy .....

The back issue is daily becoming a thing of the past which is just fabulous to see. Saturday in Cowes was stonkingly hot. Sunday was great with a drift up the Beaulieu River and then a suffocating airless drift back to Portsmouth.

She is ready.

Thurs/Friday is delivery to Falmouth.

Summer is a here ....................

Delighted to hear no major issues, and Mrs C is betterer and betterer.

Now it's my turn to get excited.

Raymarine and Sterling Power have both completed repairs, and the units are on their way back to me. Spanner them in on Friday afternoon, and then offski Saturday HW+1.

Sailing Karma comes around to smile - we leave HW on Saturday for Dover - and the forecast? Sunny and NE F4-F5, are we in for a treat of a sail or what?

Fingers crossed we'll be in Poole harbour by then. Great weather predicted for next week but maybe thunderstorms by next weekend.
