The foam mattress in our aft cabin has worn pretty thin so this afternoon I’ve popped to ikea to buy a new foam mattress designed for a day bed. This will naturally need a degree of trimming to size to fit our bunk.
Options are trying it in the cramped(in comparison to a new mattress!) aft cabin or doing it at home on the dining room floor where there is plenty of room. Last weekend I took a paper template of the bunk so I’m confident I could do a neater job at home too.
Trouble is, getting it into the car this weekend to take to the boat once it’s out of the vacuum packed, roll up like a sausage, packaging.…..
Do you think it would be manageable for my wife and I to re-roll using ratchet straps……?
