If you were involved in the YBW East Coast Forum some 15-20 years ago then this might bring back some memories ........

You seem one of the few left still 'with boat'.
Most of the old gang seem to have either relocated or to have swallowed the anchor.
Fond memories remain though.
I’m still here. Still have my boat that I took my family around the world on. Of my coterie I’m probably the only one. Many have sadly passed or no longer have their boat. My Xmas card list is getting shorter.

Still miss the clear blue warm water.

One reason for "the alledgefanul oostende cruise

This year, Ostend at Anchor will take place from 23 to 26 May. The theme will be "Discoveries at sea" with numerous replicas used to discover the world, but also a nod to the future and the "Blue Economy".

We are pleased to invite the "Jolie Brise” to participate in Ostend at Anchor once again. As we have a new website and registration

I remember the forum as the place where online and real-world came together.
Clive's boat sinking
Ostend voor Anker weekends - Jim organising dinner in a slap up greek place
Neil and his gorgeous project boat
Roger (sailorman Roger) giving me a sailmaker's needle to save the day (again in Ostend)
Man overboard real world practice on the Blackwater
Fitting Up suppers in... (Green Man, Burnham, Shotley etc)
Christmas quizzes (Ali and Gordon usually won)
The saga of Guapa's refit / deck
Anchors
EastCoastBernie and the lady members running their own Ostend cruise (have I remembered that right?)
Always good advice and friendly - no matter what shennanigans went on in the lounge / scuttlebut

Best forum on ybw imho

One most enjoyable things we did for a few years was Pirate Weekend at Stone Point.
In fact the sinking happed following a rushed return for that weekend.

Also still here since 2001! Fond memories of some great fitting up and laying down suppers as well as the Pirates weekends. It does seem some of the socialising has petered out a bit but times change and people move on or away🙂
