Good idea,

So the live cable leaves the boat and goes plop in the water!

Dont think marinas etc will fit one in the lecy cupboard for every power point!

well....if it was fitted in the marina box, the ejected cable wouldn't be live, but as you say, likely to go on boat end.

Live cable drops in water & trips elcb (at worst) probably better than busting a shorepower cable & leaving live ends exposed ?


& it wasn't an entirely serious suggestion, I'd never seen them before.

I did realise but thought it would be fun to play along....

sets one thinking though, would not be too dificult to have a relay that prevents the engines being started if the shore pawer is on.......... that is if driving off with the power connected is a regular problem.

havent done it YET, but there is always a first time
