I really doubt you are going to find another one like that. What is wrong with the existing lead? If its just broken wires then your best hope is to repair it. Does that one cable provide both power and connection to an external GPS antenna, and maybe other instruments, like a depth sounder? If you can't repair the lead you might be able to wire directly or indirectly to the circuit board inside. Usually the connector on the case is connected to the circuit board by short wires, which gives you the chance of removing the connector, fitting a cable gland and joining a new cable (or cables since you have 10 possible connections) to the wires already soldered to the circuit board. Its a bit drastic but worth doing if it saves a plotter you might otherwise have to junk.
I have a geonav handheld - so was after a spare to mess with to try to sort out the remote screen facility ( on the 4s ? ) Mine has a 12 way out of the unit - with a 10 way adaptor.
edit
maybe its 10 at the unit - like yours - then the fly lead is 12 way ( as I said, mine is the 4s that will go to a remote screen, so they have added an extra 2 pins )
Mouser have the 10 way or 12 - male or female.
10 - see this link http://www.mouser.co.uk/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?qs=Ux3WWAnHpjB%2bWOxTO253pA==
Thanks for that. The plug itself looks intact, it's the lead that has lost a great deal of insulation over the years, so it may be repairable with a new length of cable. Only two wires are in use anyway for power, the red and the black, as the unit is self contained. I'll open the plug up and have a look.
Coming back to this thread I have identified and sourced the Hirose plug. Now I need the new lead which is a 6 core spiral affair. Can anyone recommend a source?
