Has anyone experience with the Icom IC-R 30 communications receiver ?

Does it need a lot of skills ?

I am interesting with this device for the weather forecast

It has the facilities to listen to weather forecasts on VHF (Marine and air) medium wave and short wave. It is a very expensive solution and you might find it a bit fiddly. Just read the manual and form your own opinion. So many pages to just deal with the GPS !! You will find various reviews on Google and Youtube.
