I think I\'ve found it.............
my must have dream boat! I went to the Seaworks show today and there it was on the pontoon. I boat I would happily die for, mind you it would be pretty difficult to die in it! It's called the "Interceptor", its 42 foot long, it has twin D12 450 hp Volvo's and weighs in at 17 tons. It has an operational speed of 24 knots and is built like a brick [--word removed--] house. There was a video showing of the boat on test in 10 metres waves, and 60 knot winds and it just shrugged it all off! OK so the interior is not leather and cherry wood with granite work surfaces, the galley is a bit mean, but the helm position is stunning and the sitting arrangement for helm and crew is individual. On going "below" you can see the strength of the vessel and it is surprisingly spacious. The price as seen was in the region of £330k.
It looks like this..............
It has a deep V hull with 22 degrees dead rise amidships, 16 at the transom and 48 at the bow, this allows her to punch through heavy seas at speed without slamming. There is more, but it's a very serious boat. There is a "Sports Fly bridge version, but if I had the dosh I'd just go for it as is but with out all the pilot boat logos etc and I'd make the interior less spartan - oh and take the ton and a half of fendering off, but apart from that............
Now, what times the lottery /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
PS: GC1 you could go anywhere in this /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
