'Ere! 'Ere!
And you're not doing so bad yourself....
Now, the verb 'to mither'. Haven't heard that used since I lived just off Lumb Lane, in Bradford-on-Sea, some 38 years ago. I was an early economic migrant, living off curried porridge an' chips..... Harry Ramsden's was then just a trucker's caff in a giant muddy layby. Even the coaches coming back from the Leeds City Varieties on a Sunday night were bigger than the little chippy. 'Twas there I learned the aphrodisiacal wonder of mushy peas, vinegar, and Taddy Ale.
'Mithering' - so Tolkienesque, or Hogwartian.....![]()
To my southern ear, it sounded delightfully quaint.
