i need help on the size of a cruising chute

hi i have a moody 34 but dont have a and i am looking fo a cruinig chute i have been offer one at a good price but been toldits about 1.400 m short on the luff is it any good thanks guys

I suggest you find out whether the measurement is 1.4 metres shorter than your fore-stay (which might in fact be just fine) or 1.4 metres less than a full size cruising chute for your boat.

Luff length isn't everything, so try to find out how many square feet it is, and how that relates to sail makers recommended square footage for your boat. Even if it is a bit small, compare it to the area of your genoa. If it is a reasonable amount bigger it may still be more useful in light winds than the heavier genoa. You might get a good clue as to its usefulness (or not) by comparing the size and displacement of the boat it was made for with yours.

thanks guys what thy say is the sail A35 in performance airx luff is 14.100m foot is 8360m . moody,s would be luff 15550m foot 8710m
