I really do feel the need for a holiday........a real break, far from the madding crowd and away from all possibility of giving in to the temptation to visit an Internet Cafe. In other words a sort of internet/computer detox week or two.

Trouble is, I'm a bit boracic lint so I thought Id offer to take Happy1 with me if enough donations are received to cover the cost of the hols. About £1000 or so should see me thru and you can click a button on my website and pay online....there you are .....just think what a charitable act that would be.........

Needless to say I am not holding my breath..../forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Come to Chatham at the weekend and experience the Medway on my boat, I am sure you will go home feeling refreshed.

Give me time Syd, give me time.
Bank holiday weekend trip to Limehouse and St Kats planned with a few others from Chertsey. That should show how good a job Ive done on the fuel system and whether swmbo is happy with venturing further afield.
Mind you, if you fancy a day on the river with me to check out the AQD32's just shout !
Should I offer a vacuum job to the guy that bought your P32? Bet he wont have a golf ball in his!

Re: So We Get Rid Of You Both In One Go!!

Thanks for the cheque Tony. Three months late is better than never. Thanks for the 12 quid for the 15 quid flag, the money for the soltron and a donation of £2 towards the £3-60 postage!! Hardly moaning. You do plenty of work for us for free. Taking Happy away for a few weeks is probably the finest thing you have ever done. Please treat my £4-60 donation as an imputus to this end. I await your comunication as to when this Holiday will commence so that we can organise a block booking for the rest of the forumites at the nearest convalesent home.

This is your finest hour.

Re: So We Get Rid Of You Both In One Go!!

Oh dear, was I that far out in my calculations? Sorry and all that .....
Trouble is I keep suffering from senior moments and forget what I was supposed to do next. One day last week I made myself a nice mug of coffee, put the coffee in the fridge and took the milkjug back to the office. Today I got a phone call about an hour ago...'Where are you' said the person at the other end.....'In my office' said I............oh sh*t....I was supposed to go to a lunch time meeting......sorry I said.....didnt you check your diary they said.........yes I said but I'd forgotten to put it in there.......... So, no lunch, and the coffee was cold when I got it out of the fridge.......Wish I could blame it on the drink like Forbsie......

Well Haydn....looks like your negative equity contribution is all I've got to show for this extremely generous and dare I say even heroic offer of mine!

Under the circumstances I'm sure you'll quite understand if I decide not to proceed further with my original intentions of taking unohu away for a while. In fact Ive had a much better offer from swmbo who's even prepared to pay for me to join her for a week or so somewhere or other.
Cant go yet tho.....still waiting for flag and sollybolly...........
Gotta go now....more diesel to hoover.........

Now you know why I phone you to make sure that I'm getting the right amout of stuff you need. I work on the law of averages. Out of 4 calls, 6 differing amounts of each. Law of average says I'm going to get what you actually need!

Anyhow did they fit?

Can I interject here, Barry? Talking about filters, last week I realised that the oil filter I got at that wonderful car place, doesn't fit coz of one of the mounting feet is in the way. Can I just get a shorter one from halfords or does the screw-on bit differ?

Umm, I'm confused. In the marinization stuff, you should have got an adapter thing to get you round that problem. The mounting feet shouldn't be anywhere near the filter.

That's what I thought, but the adapter pushes it further towards whe foot. The filter is longer than I thought it would be.

Ah right ok, What filter does it take......and no don't say one for a 1.6 ford diesel. What is the make and number of the filter you have, eg Fram, TJ and its number. I'll have a look in the cross reference book and see what others'll fit.
