Agree... And I'm trying to fit a quick sail to Alderney into the greater scheme of things.... Weather and Christchurch tides and daylight... They remove the buoys marking the run anyday now... Could just be the most interesting trip of the year..

Thanks for that.
Been watching them every few hours. Gawd only knows when I'll be able to go across... Not this week by the look of it..
Mebbe it'l be over to Portland then on to Braye. Then wait for another window to get back and hang around on the Banks buoys ( if they're still there? Anyone know??) for the tide to get into Christchurch...
Alternative is to wait in Poole of course.

Bob,

Only just seen your post. Earlier this year there were only 3 Banks Arms buoys at Studland. No idea what happened to the others, or indeed if any remain. Maybe someone can enlighten us on current position?
