If you need another destination - don't overlook Burnham on Sea.
The Guide books are a bit offputting, but 2 hours each side of High Water the entrance is straightforward. We now have a visitors pontoon and club bar is open Wed evenings and Sunday lunch time.
Pilotage details are on the website - which is up to date !

We would try and make you welcome !

Burnham is definately on our "To visit list"

One of the guys in the marina has been over a couple of times recently and was very enthusiatic.

Once I gain a bit more experience we will be over there.

Yes the pontoons do dry out. I am in the river (Brue) further up from the pontoons and have water about 3 1/2 hous each side of high. But - can only get off boat 2 1/2 hours after. Getting on almost anytime is a breeze - if you like mud slides.
