Hunter 23\' Spray Hood - East Coast

Hoping to invest in a spray hood for my Hunter 23' during the winter - my question is that I have been quoted £700 which seems pretty steep. Has anyone any idea who may be both reliable and more value for money?

Try Cindy at Wilkinson sails at Conyer.

They seem pretty busy and it spray hoods may not be a priority, but their work is good.

I had a new one made last year for about £350 which included a site visit to measure up so £700 is a bit over the top.

If you a handy DIY you can buy a kit from Pointnorth.co.uk - from memory - just checked and theyonlt seem to supply 'recover' kits now. Found another! http://www.martexmarine.com/ they do complete kits including frames and what looks like good photos to complete.

Have you tried Select Yachts, the current Hunter manufacturer? - their prices are often surprisingly low
