I'm based in Hull marina too, honestly not as bad as people make out, out at spurn the water is actually clear/not brown and we were surrounded by a load of sunbathing seals last weekend.
As for the sand/mud banks this years chart releases from June show them hardly shifting since 2019, people still manage to get caught out though.
