Hull growth and effects.

On a similar topic, has anyone ever tried covering their props with "Helicopter Tape" which could be peeled off mid season?

Can't imagine it would stay on long. Water is much denser than air and helicopter blades don't ever spin in reverse, whereas boat props do.

Would have thought that just a small amount of time spinning inreverse would pull the tape off.

also - not sure if you could get it to form to the complex shape of a boat propeller compared to a heli rotor.

Give it a try though and let us know how it goes.

What is this stuff and why ? I’ve neber heard of it, but intrigued

Oh you mean the tape that protects the leading edge ? Man a prop in the water wouldn’t fair well with it I’d think. Water too dense and the thin blade is essential on most quick boats at least.
