Could anyone tell me of a company that comes out and shotblasts all the old antifoul off grp hulls?

Sid..I had my boat blasted 2 years back and the cost was 549 for a 'big' 36 ft Ketch. Really cleaned up the bottom well and Im glad I had it done.

Ive just looked out the bill but found that I was billed by the boat yard for the job as they only allowed this one contractor to work there... If you contact the Elephant BY at Bursedon Hants they will tell you who they use... I think I also found them whilst doing a search on the web (google) Also think that they were a Southampton based company.

Where are you Sid, Had a guy do mine who's based at Maylandsea, did a great job, removed all the antifoul and left my epoxy coating intact. Left no crap about either which l and yard were chuffed about. 33 ft boat - £250 cash

The boat's on the tidal Thames at Thurrock, in between the QEII bridge and Tilbury Docks. 250 quid sounds good, have you still got his number?

£250 sounds pretty good. Does anyone know of a shotblaster who charges similar prices in the Totnes, Devon area? The yard was quoting more than double that for a 25 footer.

K Blast of Galmpton quoted me £290 for a 32' boat last year, tel 01803 844602. Didn't get around to having it done so no personal experience of them but recommended by a local boatyard.

Thanks for that LJS - just quoted about £150 for mine (excluding the keels which are OK). The question now is will I find anything nasty underneath which I 'd rather not know about and do I epoxy? I think it was epoxied from new but K Blast suggested it may need re-doing.
