as per my post it seems older Moodys are earthed through the anode. I don’t understand this. Is it good or bad and does it need action?
Hi Stuart. All modern boats should have the shore power Earth connected to the water, often via a hull anode, so nothing to worry about there. Not every builder fitted a galvanic isolator, especially on the earlier boats to have the connection (certainly absent on a lot of Moodys). As you have fitted one, you should be fine.
