Seems to be quite a few of these for sale at moment, with owners apparently raving about them, so have forumites any experience of them, if so, what are they like?

I did look into the Rasmus 35 in the past, but did not proceed with that idea.

It's a typical MAB that you don't need to worry about for keels falling off. That is the good news. You will probably encounter the usual "auld" issues like age of the engine, quality of sails and rigging, etc. Be aware that the 35 usually is equipped with a big engine and if you must replace that with a similar one that would require a big budget.

Is has a shallow draft of only 4.25 ft which makes it very sensitive to rolling at sea, not good at sailing close hauled and all the other known issues for shallow draft. The HR 352 was introduced as an improved design to replace the Rasmus 35 with a deeper draft and better sail handling. In current market the HR 352 - IMHO - is heavily overpriced in comparison to (technically) better boats for the same money.

So ... it all depends on your purpose for this boat. If you want a nice looking boat for simple sailing it can be an idea. For more serious sailing at sea/ocean I would look further to something else. Don't forget to add up to the purchase price all the repair/refit cost that usually come with an "auld" boat.

I see it’s an old post but i was still curious which boats you think are technically better than a 352?
