How to remove water hose from Jabsco toilet pump

Any tips for removing the inlet water hose from a Jabsco toilet pump? I have tried pouring hot water on it (which is what helped to put it on). I don't want to exert too much force in case I break the plastic spigot.

Try easing a small screwdriver around the start of the joint to separate part of it, then try more twisting, repeat til it comes free. Use silicone grease or Vaseline on reassembly.

try a hairdryer which i've found works every time

I leave some slack in hoses when first installing them so that each time I disconnect them, I can cut off a short length and use 'fresh' hose for the re-connection. Once I run out of slack, I replace the whole hose.

And if its got a spiral reinforcing in it, turn (whilst pulling) in the direction that opens up the spiral rather than tightening it.
