I've just bought my first (and at my age probably last) boat, a Hunter Legend 33. The surveyor has recommended changing the goose neck and unfortunately I have to do it as I won't be covered on insurance if it fails. To be fair to the surveyor he recommended changing the sea cocks which everyone said didn't need doing but when they were removed the walls were extremely thin so I'm not arguing the point.
Anyway, I've been doing a lot of Googling and can't find anything on how to go about the task, not even whether it is easy or difficult. So I have a few questions:
1. Can anyone point me at an article that explains how to go about the task?
2. Is it something I need to get done or can I do it myself?
3. If I can do it myself is it a one man job?
Many thanks in advance,
Simon
