How much snow Ipswich?

Neptune Marina, lunchtime today.

In case anyone is coming down to their boat today -
No further snow since the early hours of Friday morning.
No heavy snow predicted for today.
Main roads pretty clear, back roads compacted snow.

I had some time to kill while waiting for the train back home so headed down to the Haven for a quick look. There is a health covering of snow on the pontoons and the boats but nothing obvious to be concerned about apart from the risk of slipping.

Rather surprised to see that there was no frozen water in the wet dock.

Today's trip cancelled.
Other half's car somewhat the worse for ware after an argument with an articulated lorry on the M25 yesterday.
Not a scratch on other half, however car will spend the next week in intensive care.

Off to check on our non-boaty project in the morning, so no more sailing for us before February :(:(

Got down to the boat today, no chance of a sail as it was taking so long to get all the ice and snow off the decks. Had a good full English at Fox's then cranked up the heat on the boat and took it easy for the afternoon.

Drove down to Shotley, couple of boats out sailing.

Decided to postpone idea of getting down to the boat this weekend. Will be at A meeting on Weds in Woolverstone pending the club being able to open for the meeting on Melissa.

Looks like it could then be next weekend!

Hoping the frost stat has kicked in on board?

Fair amount of snow yesterday afternoon and evening.
The road to Shotley was like an ice rink at around 17:30 but at least the chinese at Chelmo was open
The pontoons were completely covered in snow this morning so it was difficult getting ashore.
The the major roads have clear lanes but the back roads are now ice, covered with fresh snow and lethal.
Slope into bertholders car park at Foxs would have suited Eddie the Eagle this morning.
Left car in situ and took shank's pony to work this morning.

Pin Mill road was pretty dire this morning, although traffic was able to get up/down. I was expecting that after a frost tonight it would become an ice rink as usual, however, wonder of wonders a gritter came down this afternoon. Utter amazement. So hopefully most of the slush will have melted and tomorrow it will be easy to negotiate.
