Thanks for the links , I tried the Neptune webcam but it was difficult to make out how much is lying. Wondering how much will be on the boat?

There is a couple of centimetres of snow on the front lawn but treated roads and footpaths are clear at the moment.

Judging by the amount of snow on the mainline trains coming from Norwich, things may well be worse in that neck of the woods

Took me three hours to drive 9 miles home tonight.

Gritting lorries seem to be an endangered species round here. 2 inches of snow lunchtime reduced Norwich and surrounding Norfolk to gridlock as cars and lorries simply couldn't move.

Was in Levington earlier today.
Only the slightest hint that it had snowed at some point in the not too distant past.

Thanks Simon. Norfolk has had alot Norwich airport was closed. Peterborough had a couple of cm's.

Just had message from a friend who lives aboard at the Haven, apparently the snow isn't too bad but the pontoons are very slippery.

Very light dusting last night (Martlesham Heath) more like a very heavy frost. Is cold though as my Velux window has frozen shut, very rarely does that.

I would avoid marina pontoons today if possible.

Edit just been to Woodbridge, my car is telling me its still -6 degrees C at the moment 10:04am

Very heavy ice all over, still -5, I'd stay off pontoons and decks unless necessary.

Snow on the pontoons but perfectly OK if you are careful. Wrapped up it looked to be a great day on the water; sadly it was a fleeting visit to check our ship was OK.
