How much are spinnaker snuffers?

I have a spinny and snuffler. It came with the boat. There is a spinny pole too with the firrings on the mast to attactch it. Oddly there is no crane at the mast head. I'm at a loss as to how to rig it.

I doubt I'll be using it much as I'll mainly be single handing. It doesn't look as if the sail has ever been used.......

Reason they're on e-bay

You probably see them on e-bay because they can sometimes be more trouble than they are worth so people get rid of them. It depends on your boat and your crew. If short-handed then they are probably helpful but if it's too gusty to do a normal drop then you probably won't be flying a spinnaker anyway. Have you tried and failed to safely hoist and drop without a snuffer?

The snuffer can get tangled and stuck occasionally too. Personally, I have enough lines and blocks up at he front of the boat already. However, if you have a big kite and a small crew not liking bow-work then a snuff-and-drop might be your answer.
