Sunseeker Martinique 36 a real boat with attitude, especially in bigger seas.
Fairline Targa 39 as if we're on rails in the water.

Mirror dinghy
Laser dinghy
17 foot dory, Merc 90hp tower of power
14 foot fletcher, Johnson 50hp
15 foot dory Merc 70hp
Fairline Phantom 42 (1/3rd share) in 1999
Another 17 foot dory same as previous but Merc 125hp
Valiant 3.2m with Merc 5hp (as a boat in its own right, not a tender)
Squadron 58 in 2004 (1/2 share initially then bought the other half)
Another Squadron 58 in 2009
Another Laser (being made as I type)
Squadron 78

Have you had??

I am going to say my late Dads boats, as they were kind of mine too.

Princess 43, no bow thruster or heating, great to learn on.

Princess 52, great boat bow thruster and great hull, did loads of miles in her and never felt unsafe once.

Sealine S34, fun, loads of fun, not the cruising ability of the 52 unless weather great, but fun.

Searay 230 Sundancer
Sealine 255
Sealine 290
Sealine 310 Statesman
Sealine F33
Sealine S37 x 2
Bavaria 36 (sail - got fed up with 5 knots after two seasons!))
Sealine S41
Currently (and finally!!) Sealine S48

I quite like Sealines!

Whats wrong with a Johnson 50? I have owned one for over 15 years now on my Ryds and still going strong, only problem in that time has been power trim seized but I put that down to lack of use.

Searay 22 Cuddy 6 months

Sunbird 225 2 years

Sunline 31 2 years so far

We had a 10 year gap between the Sunbird and the Sunline

Plus lots of windsurfers!!!!!!!!!!! (I'm now too old..........except on the med where the sea is nice and warm)

My list...

Dad's boats
Mitchell 21 (lovely rolling action!)
Seamaster 813 (Great on the river but a bit scary in the Solent on a breezy day!)

Mine
Fletcher 14 GTO Arrowflyte (Brilliant little ski boat)
Fifteen years later.....
Fairline Sprint (I loved it but it terrified the Mrs who was a)holding a one/two year old and or b) pregnant!)
Merry Fisher 805 (Great boat but not quite big enough!!!)
Ocqueteau 900 (Brilliant! I always dreamed about twin engines and a flybridge as a kid but never thought we could afford one)

Scarily we have bought the last three boats in last three seasons! All I want now is a RIB to ski off but that is going to have to wait a few years.....

Tee hee. I've never been a devotee of Johnson but that's not cos anything wrong with them. Perfectly fine motors. I bought this one as a student in Birmingham for £410 when it was only 2 years old, so it was a bargain. Manual start! It was a great starter though and never went wrong.

Various Storebro 34 and 36 with my Father and originally a motor sailer.

Sunseeker 31 2x 260 petrol

I'm intrigued by the idea of having logged "loads of miles" in any boat without ever feeling unsafe.
I mean, I had a dozen of boats (also in reply to your question), the biggest of which similar in size to your P52, but I've experienced some "unsafe" feelings at times, to some extent, with all of them - even with the most seaworthy ones.
And not necessarily because of sea conditions. Sometimes it was a matter of close quarter maneuvering, in other occasions an irregular wake at high speed, an anchor dragging at night, or just lack of experience at the beginning with a new boat, you name it.
Maybe it's also a matter of attitude. I've always thought that there was nothing wrong in approaching any cruise as something "unsafe" to some extent, so that's a feeling I've learned to live with.
Or maybe I could use some of your lessons... :)
