The curves seemed better and performance seemed better but that can be rose coloured thoughts. LOL

I don't do bling my precious!!
Hey!
Do I percieve a Forum burgee getting shredded whilst you were terrorising the Seas?![]()
Have you had??
I am going to say my late Dads boats, as they were kind of mine too.
Princess 43, no bow thruster or heating, great to learn on.
Princess 52, great boat bow thruster and great hull, did loads of miles in her and never felt unsafe once.
Sealine S34, fun, loads of fun, not the cruising ability of the 52 unless weather great, but fun.
Ooh, memory lane stuff. In order of acquisition, and many of these overlap:
Dunlop C-Craft inflatable 12 foot, Merc 20hp (my dad's first boat, I was 9)
Mirror dinghy
Laser dinghy
17 foot dory, Merc 90hp tower of power
14 foot fletcher, Johnson 50hp
15 foot dory Merc 70hp
Fairline Phantom 42 (1/3rd share) in 1999
Another 17 foot dory same as previous but Merc 125hp
Valiant 3.2m with Merc 5hp (as a boat in its own right, not a tender)
Squadron 58 in 2004 (1/2 share initially then bought the other half)
Another Squadron 58 in 2009
Another Laser (being made as I type)
Squadron 78
jfm...
14 foot fletcher, Johnson 50hp
a Johnson... I'm horrified!
Whats wrong with a Johnson 50? I have owned one for over 15 years now on my Ryds and still going strong, only problem in that time has been power trim seized but I put that down to lack of use.

I'm intrigued by the idea of having logged "loads of miles" in any boat without ever feeling unsafe.Princess 52, great boat bow thruster and great hull, did loads of miles in her and never felt unsafe once.
