Can anybody tell me how long it will take to sail from
denmark to lindesfarne (n.e. england ) just a balll park
figure will do as i am in the eartly stages of planning an
expedition. cheers

Where from in Denmark? East or west side? Lindesfarne is a lovely place but not a very good landfall. It dries out and there are hardly any facilities and no harbour. We sailed back from Denmark to Inverness a couple of years ago via Farsund in south Norway. It took 60 hours from Farsund.

take a few hours. Depending, of course, on your boat and the weather.

I did Peterhead to Thyboron in 71 hours and 8 minutes with a Nicholson 38 and two crew. The weather was calm for 26 hours then we had a contrary wind for the rest of the trip with winds over force 7 for the last 25 miles.
