How long to change out a Starter Motor

second and slightly leading question. What is the going hourly rate for labour in and around the Solent.

i have had their first offer in and it seems *cough* a little high!

OFFS. If you are concerned about the cost of having work done, do it yourself. Get a mate who has some experience to do it.

Better still forget about hours and rates.

Just ask someone to give you a fixed price for changing the starter. At least you'll know what to expect.

Typically £50 an hour but you will find cheaper and more expensive places.
