80 miles,1 hour 40 mins on average.
Sad or mad thing is I live 10 mins drive from Southend but drive inland at high speed to spend the weekend doing 4 mph on the river !!!
Is that daft or wot !!!!

Actually...

Good guess though that is, its not right. My boat, Coney Island, is named after a track from a favourite artist of mine - Van Morrisson.
He mentions in this track, a number of places that he drives through in Irelend around the Strangford Lough area, Coney Island being one of them.

936 miles
from Birmingham to the Costa Brava (by road)
However I've just booked a £10.14 Flybe flight to Perpignon then will hire a car for £15 perday. So it's not the cost and I'm an early retiree so it works out well....would be nice just to 'pop down to the boat' one evening though.

Very lucky here....

RIB is norm 1-2 mins walk from home at Sailing Club, right now its about 2 secs outside the front door at home!!!

Other boat is less than 10 mins drive from home to marina.

derbyshire to punat on the island of krk croatia
but well worth it
cheap, warm, friendly, beautiful scenery
not much further than driving to spain
fantastic scenery on the way
