How come when I screwed it up getting the boat of the fuel berth today I had an audience/forums/images/icons/blush.gif but when I put her back on her berth perfectly, no-one saw.
Why can't it be the other way around?/forums/images/icons/frown.gif

Marsh lock on a sunny Bank Holiday weekend always used to be a hoot. That elevated walkway all along the lock used to have hundreds!!! Anytime I took newbies out, I made them practise moves for a good mile beforehand so everyone knew what they were supposed to do, and if they didn't get it, were told to sit, shut up and don't move! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Oh sh1t - don't remind me....

My face is flushing up with embarassment just thinking about a recent weekend where my attempt at mooring was complete b*ll*cks. I lost my link line 'cos it wasn't tied on properly, my boat hook snapped and to cap it all, I had to be helped back on to my mooring by a raggie.

Actually the raggie in question is a damn good chap who was indeed very helpful and in no way critical of my pathetic efforts - I definately owe him a favour.
