How can quick question get 33 replies

That "quick question" about Antifreeze and the length of the replies got me wondering what subject in the history of the forum got the most replies.
More importantly were the replies linked to the original post or did someone divert it.

If there is a record lets break it.

I beleieve that Tom Isitt started a thread which got a hundred replies, over a year ago tho, berating Marian about summink. As far as I know it mostly stayed on track, tho I seem to remember that I got -e-drenched in a bucket of diesel halfway thru...

DF_Light instigated a huge number of reponses and I think he also takes the record for the largest number of people online at any one go when we were all waiting for him to reveal himself .
