Charter boats often seem to be frustratingly short of rope, and I thought it'd be a good idea to have an extra length of rope to bring with me as a backup.
For practicality obviously I'd want it to be as light as possible. I'd want to be able to spring off it and similar but wouldn't anticipate leaving it as a mooring warp (so not worried about chafe).
How thick a rope would you get for this purpose, assuming you were going to be on average 40ish foot charter boats?
