How are the team getting the raw water filter undone? Mine's stuck

However, be aware that not all Vetus raw-water strainers with a clear plastic top have the large cross embossed on the lid. My Vetus strainers don't which means I had to rely on the strap wrench.

Also a strap wrench can be used to open other jammed lids or spin on oil/fuel filters.

When all else fails. Jut buy a new Vetus lid and break the old one off. Not great if you are miles out with a blocked strainer but a solution when tied up safely

I had the same problem with some multicore cable connectors at work. The fabric strap wrench which fits on a 1/2 inch drive worked best for me, and for removing oil filters in awkward locations on car engines. I broke the rubber ones as the connector cases were done up so tight.

I used one a lot on my digger & dumper filters etc
Best option if you have one.
Mine has a 10 mm drive one end & 12 mm drive on other end of the spindle which is handy even if you never need it
