Hi
We are considering a move to Port Solent in the near future. I know this is not for everyone and don’t want to reignite a debate that has already been on here but I would like to start a dialogue with anyone who lives there or owns a house in the complex as we have a few questions! If you can pm me I would be very grateful.

I know many there , what do you want to know ? Thinking about a sub let mooring

I have this impression from investor landlords the capital gains have not been that great and finding tenants hard compared to say Ocean village but I guess in current market you can rent any flat even one remotely located inPS.

Looking for capital gains on dwellings is in my view all wrong. Dwellings are places to live in not investments...... This is a huge problem that causes great hardship in my view

The OP was considering a move there , just like boats it’s wise to have in mind an exit approach went acquiring a new property. What might look like a cheap flat might be plagued by high service charges for example leaving aside any worries about the actual neighbours.

Dwellings should increase or remain stable-ish in value, else nobody would be able to finance them.
