high tides are comming so they say

Yup....

Would just add that it's nothing to do with the broker, seller or me, just a case of bad timing bad luck.

Joys of boating huh!

will know more next week but 50 / 50 at the moment. will know more when the engine doctor gets there next week but as i say, just one of those things and not something the engine survey could ever have picked up.

Bugger, very sorry to hear that buddy :(

Massive HT at Mercury yesterday, the walkway from the security gat was level, not seen that before.

Took the boat out at 2.30 for a sea trial just as the tide was turning, returned an hour later and I swear we had 5 to 7 knts against us on the Hamble

Amazing amount of water moving this weekend. We were in Cowes yesterday lunchtime, we arrived at west Cowes well into the last hour of the flood and couldn't believe how much current was running between the pontoons (possibly 2-3 knots) in the south basin of the yacht haven. Some locals believe that this is going to be quite usual with the new breakwater being built, the water has to get in and out after all.

As you mentioned for Mercury Andy, the bridge-walk out of Shamrock Quay was downhill today and HW.:ambivalence:
