High jinks on the Liffey

"However once on dry land, he took off all his clothes because he said there were armed gardaí there and he did not want to get shot. He was also arrested. ":ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

From Crumlin I see. Neighbours of that fine upstanding citizen Conor Mc Gregor and some of the leading lights of the Kinahan crime gang.

The Kawasaki Importer into Eire in the 70's was a partnership between two men, one a Stephens. Sponsors in local motorbike racing and of TT rider Conor McGinn.

I suspect the Stephens in the link is a relation.

When in the Motorbike Trade in Didcot some Irish Travelers tried to take a repair without paying. I asked did they know my motorbike racing mates the Stephens boys from Dublin, particularly ###### Stephens?

That really got their attention. The cash came out, they pulled the forelock, paid and left. Never had a bit of trouble with them after that!

###### Stephens was a heavy duty dude in Dublin.

Nearly three years ago, they take these things very seriously in Dublin, if you get three months for being drunk on a boat what is the average sentence for drink driving?
But of course, they were cheeky to the Garda, can't have that.

Appalling behaviour by -- as we might say in Dublin -- two waterborne gobshites.

By all means increase that €1,000 fine to €5,000, or more, send the two clowns on a comprehensive alcohol awareness programme, and continue to ridicule them in the national papers.

But 3 months in prison with 1 suspended. It's hard to see it's in the public interest there. I half suspect the prison sentences will be quashed on appeal.
