and also empty inside[but has some bunks/walls built in and no engine?

I would guess 1-1/2 to 2 tons based on the fact that my Twister weighs 4-1/4 tons with spars, rigging and engine.

The ballast keel weighs 1 ton. The overall weight depends on what's there.

Our GRP one was 2.25 tons.

I used to tow mine back and forward across Scotland, on a home-made trailer, behind a beaten-up old Landrover.

It aged me considerably.

About 2 tons is correct. A folkboat hull is supposed to weigh about 1600kg of which 1000kg is the ballast.
