Hi all, Mask while applying anti foul

Yes I would reiterate what BruceK has said, definitely use a respirator type but most importantly get one that will filter out organic compounds, full face mask is best, but something like the 3m 4251+ works well for a lot less cost just be sure it seals properly around your nose and mouth, they do come in a variety of sizes. Plus you can get new respirator cartridges for next year. you’ll need separate eye protection with this type, but that is quite affordable and easily available, keep as much as you can off your skin with coveralls. And go slow so you don’t get any spattering esp with a roller. Good luck! ?

And if you can't wear a full face mask, consider wearing some form of eye protection. I was under my boat once re-antifouling it and ended up in hospital with a nurse picking bits of antifoul paint out of an eye

you can get 3m half face masks with "plug in type" cartridges or the 3m bumble bee type half mask and wear a pair of goggles

I cannot tell you off hand as I am not at work at the moment however - if he looks at the 3m site it will tell him which would be suitable then pop along to screwfix and get one
