It says in my ECP, and you can see them in the pic in the book, that there are depth gauges outside the lock.I'm planning on visiting Heybridge Basin. Does anyone know the height above CD of the Heybridge lock channel. I asked Martin the lock keeper who said rather vaguely that there was 1.5m depth at HW Neaps and more than 2m at other lock opening times.
With all the cruising clobber onboard I draw close to 2m. I am just trying to calculate how close to the neaps at the end of the month I can get safely in (and out).
Went there for the first time last week on Habebty in company with Jomo on Wild Otter......
