If you would like your AH 1000 to take on a mind of its own, randomly change course and sail your boat in circles, mount an external radio speaker in an adjacent stern locker

When putting an expensive winch back together don't just watch as the parts fall out of your hand and roll into the water.
Neither do anchor balls when someone helpfully puts them where they can blow off the boat....
When departing from the pontoon, as well as releasing all springs, shorelines etc, ensure that the lines you used to secure the tiller to stop it from squeaking overnight are also released.
Especially if there are people on the pontoon seeing you off.
When shortening a mains cable, make very sure that you attach the plug to the half of the wire still attached to the appliance, not the one with the exposed wires that you aren't quite sitting on.

My top tip is.... not to pour the spare fuel into the kettle....the tea doesn't taste the same...........for weeks!!!
