I learned a handy tip too today. When you rewire the cockpit socket for a tillerpilot, don't just test that there's 12v across the terminals and call it done. It also matters which way round those 12v are

(Cue dismantling and rewiring the tillerpilot plug in the cockpit in the middle of the Solent this afternoon. Fortunately I had someone else on board to steer this time!)

Baby wipes are excellent for removing gravy from deckheads and chicken drumsticks can travel from the galley to the forward cabin at really quite impressive speed..also half past broccoli according to the galley clock is meaningless as a time check..

Tip - ensure switch on back of display is on, it does say scanner on/off!

When leaving the pontoon, make sure you have untied all your lines, especially the aft cleat line that you can't see 'cos it's on the opposite side of every other line holding you secure. One otherwise perfect departure slightly spoiled.......a nice chap walking past said " do you want this one off, too?"
