I can see the classic Bacall, much less sure about the boat. What is it? I want to say this is a still from Key Largo, but I don't remember her sailing in it.

I'd be wary of investigating the rest of any octagenarian person, DownWest! If that's what you meant.

Apparently she was 87 in that photo, being interviewed about her memories of Bogart and Audrey Hepburn...speaking of whom...figurehead, anyone?

Whatever he's doing there, it looks vaguely like something Dylan Winter might resort to.

Have you not watched "The African Queen"? You really must if you haven't as it is a brilliant film, an absolute classic.

And, yes, it is just the sort of thing Dylan might do to explore the upper reaches of a river inlet. He might not have the German Army trying to stop him however.

Have no doubt, I know virtually every line of The African Queen.

Interestingly, given Bogart's other movies, the boat used in the film now lives under a cover, at Key Largo, Florida: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_Queen_(boat)

The Louisa, the vessel sunk by the African Queen in the film, is now a floating clinic, called the Chauncy Maples.
