Henley Regatta Week

Can anyone advise on how navigable the thames is around Henley during regatta week? Is the regatta course stretch closed at all and if so, at what times? I'm thinking of spending a day cruising up to Henley (from Marlow), hanging around and either mooring there or thereabouts or returning to Marlow. Any tips, do's and don'ts or definite times / things to avoid, other than the rowers?
