Help!! Trying to identify glow plug??

Afternoon, I am hoping that a helpful expert could identify the pictured/attached glow plug, if it is even such a thing!!
Any pointers would be much appreciated!!

You seem to doubt if it is a glow plug ... why ?

I guess it could be a sensor of some kind but my money from its appearence (at least from the photo) is a ceramic glow pin, the gauge of the supply cables attached will give another clue. One thing I will say is that if it is a glow pin it is not from any heater I have ever seen, and I have seen most.

I would go for it being a sensor, too. What engine, and where is it mounted?

Don't know about boats but do know a bit about engines in cars and vans never seen a heater plug like that it's a sensor to me ,,,,,, hoping to learn more on boats soon cheers
