Yes, almost all owners of these engines report the same condition so I conclude it's a characteristic of the engine and not a fault. The amount of steam does increase if, for example, the exhaust elbow has reduced flow, the prop has some fouling or the bottom is fouled.Both my 805‘s with the same unit produced that amount of steam.
if no black clag on the transom / platform and exhaust and cooling ok no problem
presume exhaust is above waterline at speed
