I'm all in favour of someone other than me buying YBW products to keep the show on the road.

One could potentially cut out the middleman and send a monthly contribution direct to YBW journalists (and staff forum mods ), and save having your coffee table cluttered up by the magazine.

I do rather miss the old days of eagerly scouring the articles and ads in each new PBO and/or Yachting Monthly, or hunting for particular remembered old articles in my former archive of hundreds of the magazines. Sadly, as well as money being tighter for me, on the rare occasions I've bought one in recent years I've been very disappointed how thin the magazines, and how remote from my interests and budget the contents have generally been.

Seahorse. Best sailing magazine by far. Not just racing, lots of historical stuff too. Addmittedly, some of the articles on esoteric things as computational fluid dynamics are a bit beyond me.

Readly is worth checking out. Seahorse was added a while back and all the regular UK sailing magazines are included. There are also back issues covering the last 12 years

The auld cabbage won't have made that connection and I think you are at risk of causing confusion which wont go down well in the Care Home
