Just trying to clean the old paint of the props, power washed them first, but the props are scabby with flaking paint on them,is it safe to put Nitromors paint stripper on them? to try and get all the old paint off, or will this damage the propellers, tried mortar and brick cleaner which I believe is acid based which helped to remove the barnacles. Tried wire brushing them but this does not get loose flakes off, I have 4 props to do,is there any short cuts to get all the paint off so that I can repaint them in order to get a smooth finish.

I use one of those flapper wheels on my leccy drill. Cleans it off reasonably slowly so you have good control. Problem is getting a good etch primer on the bare metal quick enough to make a good base for all your other coats....haven't found one yet that lasts a season...
My local prop mender uses an angle grinder with a flexipad and sanding disc, but you need good control/know what you are doing as it can eat up ali pretty quick.
