Help again! - dolphin engine

Me again - I have a 1980 Dolphin 10hp petrol engine installed. Seems to work OK except for no water when in reverse - I believe there is some complicated arrangement on board with non return central heating valves supplying the water for forward and reverse. Anyone got any experience with water supply arrangements for the Dolphin, or any information generally on the older Dolphins?
