Just to let all you Yeoman fans out there know that there is a problem with the some of the latest Admiralty SC Portfolio charts and the Yeoman. I tried at the weekend, and couldn't get folio 5607 to ref at all, had to put them all in the user library. Yeoman know about it and are working on a fix.

They knew about it last year ! You need a firmware update which is about £80 from memory which is a bit expensive when the firmware chip can be reused and the function is not an upgade but a correction. I did ask them for the firmware binary so I could do it for myself but they went a bit quite at thet stage. I like you just put it in the user libary and marked the chart so.

Nope, guys, the problem lies with the Admiralty, who re-arranged the charted areas of each chart in some series, and then issued the new ones with the old numbers. Sheer madness, especially as some 'new' charts WILL reference, which could be very hazardous.

Also, there are printing errors on some of the folio charts, with the plotter reference points incorrectly labelled (wrong lat and long).

Really, a very poor job indeed from the Admiralty, and not Yeoman's fault at all...

(although the fact that the trim falls off a Sport after a year or two is obviously a case of poor materials or design!!!).

Pip pip!

Has anyone had to replace the internal battrey on a Yeoman Sport and if so is it a DIY job?
