Has anything changed recently at Knox-Johnston?

The agents I speak to on the phone as friendly and helpful as ever but following a recent survey, a requests which required them to refer to the underwriters has left me feeling a bit uncomfortable. It may be nothing but I'd be interested to hear from others particularly if anyone has made a claim recently. Reviews for insurance companies are usually based on how easy the renewal was etc and not on how good they are in handling a claim.

I have looked through all my documents but cant see a reference to who the current underwriters are.

I don’t know whether it’s relevant, but a few days ago I got a generic-looking email from them to say that they’d mistakenly left a couple of lines off my documents. Both say “Applies to: Aquabell Siorsa” and I don’t know what that is, but anyway, one of the lines says that the insurer is MS Amlin Insurance SE in Brussels so maybe that’s a place to start.

Had a major claim 2023/4. HKJ, after the initial call response of get 3 quotes and appoint the cheapest- erm, major structural damage needs professional survey and 'Good yard appointing. 24 hours later, the surveyor appointed, and the yacht was taken to Hamble Point, and repairs done with no major problems. It was the least stressful part! In the meantime I am not sure whether they have settled the claim with the marinas insurance.
