Obviously you get used to the life you live. I can't imagine doing this without our son. He's our ice-breaker, our way of meeting new people. He's our excuse to look round one more corner, land on that uninhabited island, visit that interesting place. He's our reason for building dens and bonfires on deserted beaches.

I guess we could do all of these things without him, but in reality we would just sit and drink rum 😂
We spend our evening in an adult world on other people boats and our boat. Neither is wrong, but when you don't have kids you tend to migrate towards people thst share you view on life. Most of our good friends in the Caribbean don't have kids. We also have great friends who have kids but we generally don't share the same interests. We don't build dens because we live in an adult world but we do jump 6 metres high when kite surfing and do race gybes on the foilboard. It's just our kids toys are more grown up and we don't have to share😀
