Hasler Windvane

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is anybody still offering support for the original Hasler wind steering gear? I am after a owner's brochure/diagrams etc.

Any help would be most appreciated.

We have one sitting on the stern of our yacht, in process of doing a resteration/service at the moment. Problem to a degree is what has been added, and were lines should run, convinced some are wrong.

Drop a line if you want, may be of mutial benefit.

Hi Mike,
According to a book I have on windvane self steering, published in 1967, the manufacturer of the Hasler gear was M.S.Gibb Ltd of Warsash, Hants. I don't know if they still exist though. There are several pages in the book showing diagrams of the Haler servo pendulum and trim tab gear, with some of the history behind them.
